Costa Rica is a true El Dorado for nature photographers. The small Central American country is home to an incredible diversity of flora and fauna, making it a photographer's paradise.

From tropical rainforests to stunning beaches to active volcanoes, Costa Rica offers an unmatched environment for spectacular nature photography. Bird lovers will be impressed by the variety of exotic species such as toucans, hummingbirds and parrots that can be found in the country's various habitats.

The wildlife is also exceptionally diverse, offering the opportunity to capture monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and many other fascinating species on camera. Particularly popular with nature photographers are the numerous national parks and protected areas, where Costa Rica's biodiversity can be admired in all its glory.

With its stunning nature, friendly population, and excellent infrastructure, Costa Rica is definitely a place that nature photographers should have on their bucket list. In preparation for my own photographic journey, I extensively traveled the country with my local partner in April 2024, and I have compiled some of the resulting images in this portfolio.
